Object-Oriented Programming:
Object-Oriented Programming is a programming using the "object" (usually 'classes') as the main concept, and using methods to solve specific problem. Moreover, every method can get information from other methods and they all can work together.
Object-Oriented Programming is a huge improvement of older programming. It makes programming much easier by enabling programmer to break down a big problem into several pieces. Nowadays, the Object-Oriented Programming has become the primary programming, for instance, C++, Java, Python, etc..
Personal Experience during week 1~3:
To be honest, CSC148 is a challenge to me, since I have not done well in CSC108 last semester and I do not have any programming experience before. According to the lectures recently, I think that CSC148 focus more on "class", which is my weakest part. In order to follow professor, I did a lot of preparation before lectures, such as reading slides, reviewing some basic knowledge in CSC108, etc.. By the way, I realize that the tutorial is very important. Attending tutorial and working on those tasks enabled me to get farmiliar with how the knowledge I have learnt during lectures is applicated in the real problems.
In conclusion, although CSC148 is a difficult course for me, I would like to put effort in, and hopefully, I can enjoy it.
